Bunnies and Zac Attacks

I am having such a hard time working today. (Yes again. I do realize I ALWAYS say this) I can't even blame it on
anything. I may have had too much wine last night... But the thing is,
that's MY fault and I don't like blaming myself. It's uncalled for in my
book.

So I woke up with, what I can only think may be a hangover. I don't
normally get hangovers and I imagine that that's what it feels like.
Lucky me.

So needless to say, I toyed with calling in today. But I have no PTO so
I couldn't. Plus I took off Tuesday and I really do need my job and
stuff, so here I a(Posted this the day after, acutally... James called me from school, I ended up leaving at ten because he needed me.. so it worked out.. slept the whole day...)

So Tuesday night.
Wait.
First of all, I have to state that we've been having Chelsea's best
friend Megan (since 3rd grade) stay with us during the week while she
goes to school.

Tuesday night, Megan comes in after I finally coaxed James into relaxing
and going to sleep by reading "Little House in the Big Woods". Yes, he
likes it. It bores him to sleep every night. I've never before read the
series, although I was a dedicated fan of the show... And there was
actually an entire chapter about Pa cleaning his rifle. We kept laughing
throughout the chapter... "Is this gun cleaning ever gonna end? Is this
CHAPTER ever gonna end?" We didn't know. He kept telling me to skip it,
but I couldn't. I had to see if it got better. It didn't.

And now I am attached to the family, so we are reading it.

All of it.

Anyway so he's finally been about bored to sleep and Megan comes in with
a baby jack rabbit. Woke him right back up. Naturally.

Okay.

Yes. It was very cute. Yes, it seemed very helpless.

She wanted to keep it in a box.
Problem is, this is a wild animal.

Oh, and I looked it up.. Mother of baby bunny is FRANTIC when she can't
find baby. Like any normal mother.

She will come back for it morning and evening for "up to a week".

It also says do NOT REMOVE BABY JACK RABBIT EVEN IF IT SEEMS ABANDONED
OR IN DANGER!!!!

That's a direct quote, by the way. Caps and all.

Megan says she "almost hit it" with the car. It was just "sitting there
on the road" so she "doesn't know what came over her" and she got out
and picked it up.

I said "Well maybe you can take it home and your parents will "help" you
take care of it." She said "Oh, they won't let me" I thought, "WOW.
Really? Must be up to ME then."

So I made them put it back the next night. I really do hope that the
mother DID come back for it.
I couldn't let it starve to death. It was still nursing! Not to mention,
I hate caging animals. Especially WILD ANIMALS.

Unless it's children. Children are rotten.

I've been on Prozac for over two weeks now. It's not working. I know, I
know, "give it a month" they say. SHE says... But the thing is, I don't
have a month! I want to have it work NOW! Everything is making me nuts
and I feel NO energy and I want to sleep all the time.

I am planning a nap like I do every morning when I wake up, but this
time, I'm really taking it. I'm not gonna let anyone ruin my nap plan.

For now, I guess I better go work so I can keep this job that I need to
have.
